What happens when a guest scans a code, orders and pays.
What the guest does
From the code on the table to a placed order.
A guest scans the code at the table, which opens your menu with its modifiers and allergen notes. They choose their items, add any changes, and place the order. They can pay straight away from their phone, or add to a tab and pay at the end.
What happens next
The states an order moves through once it is placed.
A placed order becomes a kitchen ticket with its modifiers and course timing attached, and appears on the cashier's open tables. As the kitchen works through it, its status updates, and once payment is taken the table closes and the sale is recorded. The next step in that journey is covered in From kitchen to checkout.
